'High Fives' For Your Next Hire

12/08/2019

How do you add more value to your business? One word, "EMPLOYEES."

Believe it or not, as much as how it is important to offer an amazing product or service that will attract customers. Sometimes, your clients first interaction is not with the product itself but with the persons offering the product. Whether you make that sale may depend on how your customers feel about their customer service experience.

I am giving you five (5) simple recruiting tips you can consider that will keep money in your pocket and your customers wanting more from your business. (Because we're all about growth).

Tip 1:    K. I. S. S. (Keep It Short and Simple.) Your job description should say exactly what mean. By making it clear and concise, your needs will be easier to understand allowing the right candidate to apply to your business.

Tip 2:   Think about your business culture. Sure, he has academic qualifications, but does he have the right personality for the role? Don't forget that your team can influence how others view your business. Are your customers happy?

Tip 3:   Review your current employees' application. It's quite likely that your employees will interact with your customers more than you do. When you know your team's strengths and weaknesses, it gives you a better idea of what possible strengths you would look for in a potential employee.

Tip 4:   What about a psychometric test? Okay, so you are probably thinking that's irrelevant for your business. Still consider this fact, personality tests can reveal so much more than what your candidate say in his/her interview. It also shows you whether they are good with time management. (Your clients want to feel special; more time means happier returning customers.)

Tip 5:   Use more scenario questions and less 'tell me about yourself questions.' You need realistic cases that can help you to determine how they will behave under different situations.
